I am running ceramic coated (inside and out) Hedman Sorties, into a Hedman Y Pipe and then 3", no cat to the back axle. There it drops in width and is a bit shabby-



It branches into 2 and exits at a cherry bomb each side. Was done about 6 years ago (well before the 3" and headers etc.)

The pipe that goes into the cherry bombs must be 2" I reckon- 2.5" max and I guess it would drop inside the CB's too.

Am I losing power with this set-up? It sounds lovely!

I have a local firm that do custom stainless systems who showed me a tiny (as in physical size- inlet outlet of 3") chambered 1 in 2 out back box. Reckons it would sound meaner. I guess the CB's have no packing left in them after this long? I would then get them to replace the pipe at the axle from 2.5 to 3".

I don't want to lose the sound (I have other vids of me driving it in the UK on YT) I also want to get max power and I'm sure I am leaving some power on the table.

Thoughts and advice.

get the custom pipe and get them to tune the sound to your liking
