Are these going to drop in price or what?

I've been keeping an eye on the prices for a while and they don't seem to have dipped much below £12k for at least a year and I'm led to believe they were actually lower than this a while ago. Just a case of being so few cars for sale it's hard to gauge the bottom of the market?

I thought that was a common misconception?

They had dropped like a stone since New until last year. Since then the Coupes have bottomed out and good ones are now back above 20k. The Roadster, contrary to popular belief, sold about the same number as the Coupe, in ///M guise. From here on, in IMO, price will depend very much on condition and mileage not age. There will always be sheds out there, but the good ones are not going to get much cheaper.

Many ///M's are now owned by enthusiasts, the dentist and lawyers, who originally bought them new, having moved on. So the seasonal dumping, of last year’s toy, is far less than it was.

I can recall higher mileage (60-70k) 2006 roadsters without nav getting down to just over 10k two or three years ago. Interlagos blue always seemed to be the cheapest colour.

I don't think I've seen a car for less than 12k recently, and brown is in fashion now so Sepang cars probably don't hang about on the market for as long as they used to.

I bought a Sepang in 2010 and it was a lot cheaper than other colours of similar age and mileage. I think I paid around £21k for a car less than 3 years old with 13k miles. Probably should have hung on to it!

I could have purchased a decent one with 42k miles, new tyres and ins II in Blue for £13k two years ago.

I eventually opted for an AUC car with 30k miles, two years warranty, new rear tyres, tax and oil service for not too much more.

On that basis and from what I have seen I think they have settled out. I actually think your better off spending a bit more and getting a "good" one as it will be recouped upon resale. I think this has happened as Z3MR's and Z3MC's have appreciated.

Whilst I appreciate the Z3MC and love the looks the Z4MR will always be more desirable (looks better, more modern, all have the S54, etc) than the Z3MR in my opinion and will be priced accordingly smile

I appreciate the outlay may be more than wanted but this is offset by limited depreciation (or has been so far).

All just my 2p.

Just bought an AUC Z4MC. I think values have definitely stopped falling and these cars are going to be future classics. Fingers crossed anyway. There were only just over a thousand Z4M Roadster & Coupes in total.

I think the price has stabilised ... I had a Z4MR which I should have not sold - and have watched prices since The Z4MR is special. I had mine in blue and no matter what anyone says re it being the 'cheapest' colour is loos totally stunning ! No other colour comes close on this car wink Just my opinion btw biggrin

Interlagos and, to a slightly lesser extent, Imola seemed to be on a lot of the cars at launch.

They are both lovely colours just that they could be picked up a lot easier. FWIW, Sepang was probably the cheapest colour, or Phoenix.
