I don't think I've ever seen an electrical storm like that before - constant lightening and thunder for such a long period of time.

One must have landed a few doors away in the garden it looked so close and the crack wow - at times it was very frightening.

Sky is out of action still!

It broke the sky? Wow!

I was fast asleep, long day and 2 large medicinal red wines saw to that, only woke when one of the dogs crawled under the duvet, whimpering.

It woke me up - I'd only just managed to get to sleep as well! As soon as our GSD knew I was awake, he came over to me for a cuddle - not sure if he was scared, or if he thought I was. smile

Lasted about 20 minutes over in Shalford but started at 1:30am. Speaking to people in the office, sounds like there was a lot more. Heard on the radio this morning there was over 3000 lightening strikes in the space of 2hrs in the UK

I started watching it pass over where I am in Camberley when it was developing around 1.30am, and before I knew it I'd been watching the lightning bounce around the sky from the window at the back of my house for a good 90 minutes or so.

Not a great deal of thunder at times, but the sky looked fantastic being lit up by a combination of sheet & forked lightning cool
