I am a big fan of the Murci, would you be looking at a murci or an LP640? In my view, the LP640 was a big revision over the original Murci, but both are great cars.

The murci still is more Lamborghini than Audi in my eyes and does have a few quirks etc. that make things a little more difficult than on a gallardo so expect higher labour costs as jobs take longer. Some have had a brake upgrade which was generally welcomed as the original murci ones didn't inspire as much confidence as hoped.

As they are big and heavy, and pretty much everybody opted for e-gear, look out for clutch wear / replacements as it is a pretty big job.

As an investment.... it depends on what you want your money to do.... As it is a v12 lamborghini with scissor doors, it will always be worth something to someone. If looking for an investment, I would look for a nice 640 in an unusual colour combination with the quilted leather seats. I recall there was a white roadster for sale with orange interior.... very cool.

All in all, it is a brutal car and one of my all time favourites, it's a monster.

As an owner I'll hop in to help. Can't say that they are hard to get hold of generally but if you want something specific than you will need to be patient and most of the available cars are on this site.
I've had no faults so cannot give you my list of problem areas, I was told the bat wings can fail though tbh I only put them up for show and they always pop down when on the move anyway.
Servicing is not cheap and if you look underneath this is not an over complicated car or hard to work on, I could do a basic service easily however you need history and I need main dealer stamps on a 670, if you have owned a Ferrari you will already know where you are going with running costs.
Search through copies of Evo mag as Simon on there has covered more miles than any other and I believe it has been pretty reliable.

Good luck.

Some Murcs are not aging well. Starting to look dated in the wrong colours.

LP670-4 SV is the pick of the bunch.

Couldn't disagree more.
A decent early Murci at around £70-80k is a lot of car for the money.

That's if you can get one for £70-£80k.

Wondered where they'd gone - I guess they changed their name.

Odd, as there was never anything on PH about KTS anyway wink

He did say decent, that blue car has been for sale for years, and needs £10's of k spent on it. I made enquiries about it when I was looking for my car, and was warned off it by every dealer I spoke to. The other car may be ok, but I wouldn't touch it, simply because of the rep of the people selling it.
