got a major misfire under load.
coughs and barks with odd small backfire but seems to clear at 3000 rpm although there is a little hiccup.
doesnt idle too well and tries to cut out at junctions etc.
having to feather accelerator as too much gas it misfires real bad until seemingly clears.
any ideas?
maf,plugs,leads,O2 sensor,throttle position sensor,ecu,coils,
starts first turn of key and seems better when cold and rpm higher.
it all started when after a short run I pulled over to sit and wait for work colleague at idle for 5 munutes went to pull away and was missing like hell.
any direction would be good

I ran a TT for 8 years and must admit I never had the problem you describe.
However, I'd suspect blocked injectors or fuel lines.
You're at the wrong end of the country for the best workshop help (though GTO owners DO travel that far for these guys) but you could try a call to Rob at Evil Empire or Ben (or Mark) at EuroSpec2000. What they don't know about these cars isn't worth knowing. Details on the GTOUK website.

Another's recommendation for Ben at Euro, you will not be in better hands, give him a call!
