Well,,,after some advice on here about mpg for a Mini Cooper.....

I've bought this one, collecting week.

Looking re-map / chip now, what's the consensus on the best way forward?

Don't bother. You will only get a negligible increase in power from a NA 1.6.

If you want more performance go back and swap it for an S.

As for changing mpg, again it will be negligible.

Sorry, should have said.....it's a 1.6D, so I'm hoping for a decent hike.

Now then! They remap really well biggrin. People reckon they can be a better bet than the SD.

Join Minitorque and ask on there, loads of people with good knowledge and will recommend maps/places to do it etc.

Depending if it's pre/post facelift means BMW or Peugeot engine too, I can't tell but it looks post, (I don't know a lot about R56s I am a mk1 person smile ).

Thanks.

It's a post facelift so the BMW engine.

I'll take a look over there.

Cheers!

My Mrs has this one - it's being remapped by DMS next week whilst she is away biggrin. I am hoping it will be more fun afterwards.
