Forgot to shut petrol cap

I guess fuel system is pretty similar to any other TVR so.......
Disconnect fuel pipe from engine and put end into a clear bottle (may have to improvise something to make pipe a bit longer).
Turn on ignition and pump fuel through, leave to settle in bottle and see what you've got. Continue until perfectly clear.
Change fuel filter.

Why not just remove the cover off the fuel tank and suck it out? saves contaminating the fuel filter, pump or lines.

sounds like a plan, was only offering general advice, don't have a "T" car and wasn't aware they have a removable cover
Yes when the fuel pump(s) break or you get fed up playing guess how much fuel you have left with the dodgy float control, there is a hatch on the tank for access to the gubbins insideHave to be honest, the car is running fine so didn't bother with checking the fuel from the pump or draining the tank. My thought is, leave a hole the size of the filer in the rain at the angle its at, how much water actually went inside. Here's hoping I don't eat my words off to Barcelona next week
