preparing body for paint - doors off

Took doors off today. Sod of a job. No droop but hinges creaking and groaning. All fixings heavily corroded too.

Removed in them interest of a decent paint job as the last one (previous owner apparently paid £3500) did not have anything removed or the surface flattened - just a simple DA and mask. Even the door shuts or any not seen from outside surfaces were not painted

Hi Mick,
Good to see your on the way to finishing, I think Norman did a drawing for the hinge plate assy some time back, you could replace them in S/steel.
