Hi, the date function on my Tag Carerra no longer works and as don't want to pay Tag repair prices I am looking for a good watch repairer who can fix it for a reasonable price. I live in the north west so someone in that area would be preferable, thanks.

Variomatic is based in North Wales and recently did a repair on my Tag Monza and then a service on my datejust. He has also just rebuilt a vintage omega for a friend of mine. Ecain is also highly recommended on here so you can't go wrong either way

Variomatic is very good. Did a few for me whilst my watchmaker had a broken wrist

I'd be happy to look at if for you but Eddie has better access to genuine parts if they're needed. Internal movement stuff I can get but if it needs a date disk (unlikely but possible) then standard ETA ones may not match well for colour.

sorry its been a while but its manic at work at the moment.I would also like the colour of the hands changing as my watch is silver on silver and it is not always easy to see the time clearly but not sure what colour to have, any idea of cost?.I asked Tag to do this when it was serviced but they refused saying they will not change from original spec.

Which model is it? Chrono / non-chrono will make quite a difference to the work involved, as well as possibly parts availability! smile
