Has anyone been to see the silver cerb at James agger ?

http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/t...

It looks nice and the wheels have been changed to spiders which suits me but no mention of an engine rebuild or chassis work , does anyone know it at all ??
Thanks

Dont know anything about the car but its been in his stock for a while. Looks stunning though.

Was looking on the trader this morning, there is a Speed 6 on there that has had a very recent rebuild.

Hi mate, don't know much about the car apart from: I went to see it about two weeks ago because the spiders on it are actually my old ones!

I much prefer the SP12s and we did a swap so I can vouch for the wheels and tyres being great. I did make the point to him that the car was lovely and the only reason it hadn't sold was because of the wheel! Had I not already got my similar silver Cerb (but mines a MK 2 and much faster lol) I would have been more than interested!

The car is in very clean condition I'd say haggle and if a Cerb is what you want then can't see much wrong with that example but perhaps a warranty thrown in may be an option?

Goodluck mate

Thanks for the update, and I have to agree that he hasn't sold it because of the wheels, not that I want to start a spider debate but it does look better with them on, just my view , it is nice but then I look at longbows cerb in the ads today, with a re done chassis and a beautiful rebuilt engine, 3k more for potentially less headaches ?
Decisions decisions !
If I do look at it I would have to haggle in a warranty for a good period as its a sp6 with no rebuild
Thanks

Where do I start... first Im not a fan of Spiders they seem to me to be the most boring wheel on a TVR for an upgrade. They look good but are heavy and weak. I much prefer the SP12 as it hits both sports and sophistication. wink

I must next say Im a big S6 fan over the V8s and with Longbows car at 3k more id be spending lots to change the styling to bring it back from being a race car to a more refined and very fast road car, so I feel classy next to Astons but happy to mix it with Lambos! My ideal would be knock a grand out of James , tell him to waxoil chassis. That is a 4k saving in which I would then go straight to Dom at Power (with cash) and ask him for a standard S6 rebuild... thats a sorted, grown up S6 with 100k miles warranty on engine! You may want to factor in Gaz Golds and ACT Hoses at the same time and you would be laughing.

My Opinions only so no offence meant to anyone!

Im sure you'll make the right choice for you mate, you'll know when you get the feeling for the one you really want wink

Longbows is up for sale? I'd be beating a path to his door very rapidly. I know the car, have known it for years. It's quick, ridiculously launchable at the runway runs, beating many allegedly faster cars.

Mechanically it's brilliant with all the upgrades you'd every want. Personally I'd put the original seats back in but apart from that it's a fantastic car.

I couldn't agree with you more regarding bringing it back to normal and away from being a race car , and the seats would definatly have to go , obviously his choice for his needs which is good but a little too much for me. Set of spiders maybe ( sorry couldn't resist ! ) . I just love the blue chassis and the engine bay is stunning, but , yes you are right , that would be more cost ontop on an 18k car . So, Mr Agger is 2.30 hrs from me, I'll see what time I finish work on Saturday !

Seats would be 1st things out! Spiders great ... (If your selling the car) but why would you do that, Cerbs have a timeless shape, mine is here to stay. rather than change car I'll just powder coat chassis when needed and I have planned a 4.3SS upgrade when I feel like a new car... (then we can go 4.5 and 5litre when a new urge needs scratching lol). Get down to James i'd say but you will spend some time customising!

Tell him the ex Spider owner gave him a good mention... that way he might let me have the impact cushion for my newborns child seat. ;P

Goodluck and enjoy whichever you go for
