Bernie says "Think before you drive
Discussion
The sinister thing is the whole Big Brother tone- 'Bernie says '. Why people still put up with this parody of a man escapes me . He deserves credit for smartening up the whole F1 package in the 80s and 90s but his relentless and cynical pursuit of the dollar since then for his own ends has been shameless and disgraceful. He has wed F1 around like a not so cheap hooker - Bahrain, China , Korea and the rest- whilst cynically alienating the fanbase which made the sport what it is and shame on him for doing so.

I warned about the consequences of Bernie's "eastward march" on PH probably ten years ago. We are seeing those predictions coming true now.Witness the deserted stands at Hockenheim on the weekend. How could that happen?
Note the name Bernie, just like some beneficent uncle. We should call him Ecclestone.
I was surprised at the gaps in the stands at the German GP. There are enough Germans on the grid, one might have thought, to ensure a big fanbase. A half-German was likely to win, yet no one turned up. Normally cameras are placed so such things are not seen by the viewing public. There were even fewer fans at the French GP this year.
That said, the racing's been great this season, the last race being very exciting all the way through. Yet still fans stay away.

I agree with Joe Sawards analysis.
