Just one week to go this time.woohoo

Just takes a DNF from Rosberg, with Hamilton finishing on the podium, to put Stevenage's finest at the top of the table for the Summer break.

As said.

I'm hoping it will end.

1 - Hamilton
2 - Ricciardo
3 - Massa

I want a DNF from Nico - Just because I'm a Hamilton fanboy.

It's probably Hamilton's "turn", can't help but feel that this year it is all being carefully managed so that neither driver gets too much of a lead.

Lewis is good around the Hungaroring, so...

1. Lewis
2. Nico
3. Danny Ric

I think that as it's more of an aero track than a power track that the good form that Williams have had of late will be somewhat nullified.

Just a thought, but with Ricky frequently outshining Vettel - is Ricky now the one that other teams would want. I'm thinking big £££s from Ferrari, and McLaren must be considering their options.

Can't see DR going anywhere for a while yet to be honest. No one in there right mind would want a Mclaren or Ferrari seat while they were in a Red Bull at the moment.

Prediction for the weekend.

Agreed - they managed that brake disc to fracture with spectacular precision going into that bend. Those Germans eh? rolleyes

I think Lewis is just putting too much pressure on himself to get Pole so he's messing up the Quali (apart from Germany, don't think we can blame him there!). I am pretty sure he almost always tops the FP 2 tables..

But on the plus side when it comes to race pace and scrapping he's fecking awesome.

I have to say I am incredibly impressed with Nico, how he is handling the pressure and frankly how generally well he is driving (he's had a few untidy bits and bobs, especially with Lewis on his tail).

Merc Merc all very interesting, but they have done a reasonable job of making a show out of a runaway who is going to be 3rd season over after 2 races year

But a Red Bull without Newey?

Brundle predicted that the FRIC removal may show itself more at this race, I concur, more locked wheels and little trips off the track I think.

I think this track will be good for Red Bull, I hope RIC gets the car how he wants it, Red Bull in front of Williams for this one.

I wonder if Lotus will get both cars to the end, they badly need to do so.

Lewis needs to get qualifying right here, overtaking is not easy.

I think Massa is a bit rattled by the attention Bottas is getting and is trying too hard, just needs to do a solid job and bring it home.

Goodness knows where the rest will be.

Yeah but, yeah but, Vettel has a vastly superior DNF score compared to his team mate this season.... wink The fat lady is yet to fill her lungs and let rip with Red Bull.

Unless there's a huge shake up, unlikely, both Ricciardo and Vettel should stay put for next season. Considering their engines meant both cars struggled, they've done surprisingly well against all the Mercedes powered superior opposition. If the engines come up to scratch next season, watch out..

OK, that Canada success was a refreshing change but the Aussie's single win was with much assist by the "Blame Massa" scenario and both Mercedes having issues. Red Bull are yet to win on pure merit this season and are very unlikely to do so. Good to see Vettel lower down the order mixing it with the likes of Alonso et al.

Claire Williams ( What a delightful lady she is on TV interviews ~ Dad Frank must be justifiably proud ) during BBC's German GP Highlights stated that this circuit will suit her cars and drivers. I for one hope she is right.

I also hope the circuit suits the Red Bulls too. Bring on some closer racing.

Having said that, stand by for another Mercedes-Benz show.

The infrastructure is in place now to continue pretty much as they are. And next years car is still Newey designed. Worst case scenario is Red Bull are at the top of the game for another year or two at least. Ferrari and McLaren don't seem likely to improve all that much in that time. The only attractive proposition at the moment is really Williams imo.

Now, am I imagining things or is the Mercedes advantage being slowly closed up a little? And Renault were claiming that an upcoming powertrain software change could bring improvements amounting to 'Tenths rather than Hundedths' to future races?

The removal of FRICS seems to have helped Force India and to a lesser extent McLaren, possibly Ferrari too?

I have no doubt that Rosberg had plenty of pace in hand at the end of the last race but I think the competition are getting closer and it's very interesting.
