Whatever you say.

I was lucky enough to watch Senna is his prime. Lewis is weak, he puts it out there and make it obvious how to get under his skin. We shouldn't mention Senna. Prost and Shumacher in the same breath really. Lewis IS quick but so flawed. Senna moved from Brazil and lived the lowlife before actually retiring in 1981.

Lewis Hamilton has been funded by Mclaren for 'x' years and now has more money than he can ever spend. He can afford to be how is is, however this will not win him a Championship. Let's talk about consistency, how does Lewis stack up? Put a solid team mate against him and he crumbles.
Lewis started from the pitlane, Nico was on pole.

Lewis beat him.....

He beat (in the official FIA standings) the reigning World Champion in his first year, Alonso was then and still is today as tough a competitor as there is, even with the DNFs, brake failures and fires, he's won more races than Rosberg this year, your argument is unsupportable.

He "crumbles" apparently.

hehe

We have a new thread funny man! Yonex!

Having said all that... Lewis is fragile; it's true and it may well be his weakness - but "crumbles"...

Nah.

My dad hates LH.

Ultimately, behind all the bluster, it's because he's black and from working class stock.

Can't help think if he was one of 'us', he wouldn't get anywhere near the abuse their he gets from ALL the channels he gets.

Imagine what the f1 community must think, a black middle class coming into their would of polo and yacht!

Nope, it's just because he is an arse. I and all of my friends were excited when he started in F1. Now we are just embarrassed by him.
Honestly, I think this says more about you and your friends.

What has Lewis ever done to deserve such crap?

only think I can think of is that he's about the only one in F1 who has not come from money and (arguably) is the best driver out there.

I think Hamilton comes across as a petulant child a lot of the time.

But he is a damn impressive race driver - particularly when placed in a difficult situation (like starting from pit lane). And I can respect him for that.

Sorry, not just my friends but also my colleagues and anyone I speak to about F1 think that Hamilton is a clown.

Love his hard luck story. Look to Kimi for a real one. Best driver? That would then have to be Jenson who beat Hamilton over the 3 years they spent together at McLaren.
you must all live in some parallel universe then?

the one I am in does not show that "Jenson who beat Hamilton over the 3 years", this being hammered home by Merc paying lewis a shed load of cash and McLaren being likely to drop button.

no, I am not trying to suggest Lewis is the second coming, but to try and suggest anything other than he is arguably the best driver out there (along with Alonso) is just being in denial.

Rosberg turned his engine up earlier in the year and parked it at Monaco, Hamilton owes him nothing.

Jenson did beat him overall when he was at McLaren. Hamilton has hardly whipped Rosberg either, has he, even last season when Rosberg had more DNFs (the favoured excuse for Hamilton fans this year).

Thanks for brightening up my Monday morning by claiming Hailton is arguably the best driver out there. Priceless.

Anyway, a great race.
If Hamilton had finished all races this year he'd be so far ahead it would be a joke.

To suggest he's hardly whipped Rosberg is unbelievable, he's a handfull of points behind having had more bad luck than you could throw at the guy.

WTF is wrong with some of you lot, it's a like a bhing club and perhaps you should be on mumsnet.

Well at least the accusations of racism have appeared, I was wondering how long that would take. It's really bizarre the vitriol that gets handed out by both sides. I don't understand it.

Anyway, Williams must be disappointed, they looked strong this weekend.

It is such an incredible shame that after such a fantastic race all people want to do is to continue to lay in to the one driver who gives us so much entertainment.

I've never known such vitriol levelled at one driver - and the fairy stories that people are making up! If he's so bad why do people have to make stuff up?

The idea that Prost didn't bemoan his teams is so far from the truth that you might as well argue black is white - and can you imagine if a team tried to issue Senna with team orders when he was battling with a championship rival? Jeez, the fall-out from that would have been stratospheric! hehe

A real, real great shame that so many people who would describe themselves as race fans are actually anything but.

Anyway, interstingly I thought, on Sky all four pundits - Bruno Senna, Brundle, herbert, Hill are all tipping LH for the championship - and then factor in how much money Hamilton gets paid by the movers and shakers - and they're all wrong, according the forums laugh.

It's beyond bizarre!

Sorry, what has income and upbringing got to do with it? Rosberg grew up in Monaco for God sake! They've all got more money than Croesus and could all retire tomorrow, they've all been raised with a silver spoon and that'll never change in motorsports given the vast costs to complete at any level.

I'm certain that Senna wasn't from the gutters...

He wasn't, he was from a wealthy family! laugh. The issue of money never arose, they simply bought whatever was needed, he only ever had good kit throughout his career.

In fairness, they haven't all been born with a silver spoon, some of them have only had a couple of things to bring to the table, such as talent and a supportive family.

It's what the F1 section PH has become.

Would you like an argument?
