See the much advertised white/ blue band job went on e bay for £5,100 yesterday, which seemed remarkably minimal for what appeared to be at least a good runner....but did someone on this site sell it earlier this year in which case will be pleased original £7995 price not achieved?

I think Clive, who owned it this time last year, sold it late last year or early this year. The new owner then put it up for sale about 4/5 months ago, and when it didn't sell again last week. Not sure what Clive sold it for, but he may be along shortly with the full story. Maybe he even managed to buy it back...

Reserve was not met so I don't think it sold, it has been advertised in last few weeks on car and classic and eBay for around the £7995 mark if I remember correctly. Advert may still be on car and classic.

Hi all,
The white/blue Taimar WAS mine for the last eight years........I had to sell it to pay a rather unreasonable tax demand! I sold it RELUCTANTLY in February this year via e-bay to the current seller for 7k. Or half of my tax demand!! It is in good condition, and has never even had an advisory on the original chassis, which remains good.....despite what so called experts who have not even seen this car are saying.
As far as I know, the guy who bought it from me, currently the seller, did not get on with it. He has two series 2 Sunbeam Alpines and a Hillman Husky which he regularly shows................................
The TVR does not fit, and the guy is looking to pass it on for his money back.
I would buy it back tomorrow if I had the spare beer tokens, but alas............... That it is still for sale gives me hope.

Clive.

Thanks for the update Clive, I knew you had given us some of the story a while ago but wasn't sure where to find it. I think we should all have a whip round for you to return FHG102S to it's rightful owner...
