Hi all I'm going to connect the water up to my heater matrix its a none air conditioner unit there are 2 water pipes at the passenger side on the unit which one is incoming hot water flow and which is cold return . Best way to describe them is one is nearer to they front off the car so which one is this

I believe I asked the same question on here some time ago and the reply was that it didn't matter. Up to you to choose.

Technically it probably doesn't matter - a heater matrix is a heater matrix. ...... But if you install it the 'wrong way' your heater shut off valve is going to be less effective. I seem to remember that which ever pipe is connected to the valve is the flow and the other is (obviously) the return.

The pipe coming from the thermostat housing or the cylinder head is the flow and should be the line with the heater valve in it.
Which way the water flows through the radiator would be important but the heater matrix is so small it will make little difference.

My old shop teacher used to say; "turn on your heater FULL if your car is overheating " may kill you but will save your engine.
