So today was my skydive day. It was purchased for me by my lovely girlfriend for my 30th birthday next month. What can I say, it was an amazing experience .

Now what's this got to do with a bike?. Well we got diverted on our way home , so took a detour via Sheffield. This ending in me now being a proud owner of a new 1199 abs in red. So I've dealt up, and collected all in one day which was a bit of a rush but it's now sat in my garage and I'm happy as larry. Just need to run it in, and get some miles on it .

I've been warned I won't have one much longer if I buy a set of termi's like I wanted.

Wow, a day to remember. Congratulations on your purchase smile

Other than skydiving I can't imagine there's many better feelings than new vehicle day!

How visible are the Termis on this model? Just change them and tell her you've "taken the baffles out" of the standard system if she asks!

So you're saying that, on top of not going to a supermarket when hungry, I should stay away from nice bikes when on a skydiving high?

Thanks for the advice smile.

I had a similar day, on Saturday I did my first skydive and was un-real, insane amount of adrenaline............

Unfortunately I didnt get a new bike after, let alone a Duc.

Congrats on the new purchase.

Managed 215 miles today. It's far to much bike for the road. But so easy to ride compared to other ducatis I've had.

215 miles so that's about 3.5hrs you're away from home. scratchchin

That's certainly more time than she's used to. (No offence op)

Indeed, I don't think Termis for 1199 are very noticeable.

My Mrs certainly wouldn't spot them - The only way She knew my Monster was a 'new' bike is that it's a different colour to the 916...

I will put that purchase down to shock. When you do your first dive, the instructor told me that you will get a relapse of emotion roughly 4 hours after landing. Indeed it was the biggest buzz ever as I went to see my daughter who was born at exactly the same time as I threw myself out of an Islander BN11 from 2000ft, hence her christened name; Charlie, Sky hehe

Great choice of purchase, it looks lovely thumbup
