I'm looking at doing a 60 mile per day commute now, so fancy something a bit more economical to do it in - it's mainly boring dual carriageway.

Thoughts have turned to a 2004-ish Clio dCi. Now ideally a 100 as biggest is best, right?

What I need is A/C and a >50mpg return. And reliability. Are the 65, 80 and 100 all on a level footing reliability-wise? And will they all do >50mpg?

Is there anything to look out for on them?

TIA thumbup

I'm not clued up on what to look out for on them, but I know someone who had one for a long motorway commute like yours(he had the 65bhp one), and he was getting >70mpg.

I had an 80, '02 plate. Mum had it off me in '04 and still has it! It's been pretty faultless tbh and they still regularly get 60-70mpg out of it. Cracking little cars and, imo, one of the few great diesel engines.
