I'm about to buy my first Mercedes after years with Japanese cars but unsure if there are any gremlins or tell tale signs to look for?

Make sure the injectors have been changed if its got the Blue Efficiency engine. A 2009 Mercedes will most likely have a DSB (digital service book), there no paper service book.

MB dealers and certain MB specialists can update the DSB.

Other than the injectors, usual checks apply when buying a used car.
