Which PD130 application should I go for?

Hi guys,

I'm looking for a reliable well put together diesel car to do the daily duties for a while and anything but a PD130 would be a mistake I feel.

I was set on an A4 Avant but it seems impossible to get them in a nice spec.

What I want is, cruise control, climate control, 6spd manual, armrest, good sound system (Bose etc)

Seeing as this engine is used in so many different platforms, what else should I be looking at to give me the spec I want?

Only an Audi will give you the upgraded sound system, I think. Equivalent Golf/Bora/Passat/Leon/Octavia didn't have an option, as far as my head is telling me. Although it is very warm, so it might not be functioning correctly!

I was always very impressed with the standard sound system in my old 2002 passat, if your dead set on high quality audio then changing it when you find the right car is not a huge issue.

I'd go Passat or Octavia; taxi drivers are rarely wrong on these matters. Find a well maintained one in an old man colour and put a couple of hundred pounds into an uprated stereo if you need to.
