has anyone run a c63/c-class saloon with a baby - is there generally enough room or do you find yourself wishing you'd bought the estate?

boring topic, but I need to loko at car options soon as I currently have a coupe and it's not going to work

I had a c class salon then a baby. It was ok for day to day use but cramped for holidays and trips away etc. the boot is quite big but hard angle for buggy, travel cots etc. I would say estate for practicality and being able to take bikes, scooters etc.

I changed to ML and on my 2nd now. It's great as a kiddy carrier.

You could always try a roof box if you want saloon.

C Class is the most spacious of the mid-size saloons in my opinion, especially the boot. Its quite huge. I have a recaro baby seat and base in the back of my W204 C63 saloon and find it ok.

Estate version. Sorted, and if your getting a C63 I think it sounds better as the sportelummwagon.

Think C63 will feel old fashioned after currently running a new shape M6 coupe? Or perhaps more old-school but still great? Options in my head currently are;

C63
M5 - bigger car but and not as fun to drive as C63
New shape RS4 - not sure will be as fun to drive as C63 but obviously a lot newer

4x4's are great and practical but for my budget (up to £55K) they all seem a bit boring. Cayenne tubo ok, but mmm

Also like the fact you can buy a nice C63 for £30K, which means £20-25K back in my pocket after what the M6 is probably worth as a trade-in

Maybe hunt out one of the <£600pm contract deals and secure a 2014 model.

It really depends on how much unnecessary crap you or your wife insists on carrying. But given that we were all brought home from the hospital in Minis, I'm sure a C63 AMG saloon is perfectly adequate.

I ran a C Class saloon when we had the first sprog, got an estate when the second one came along.

AMG's of course.
