A good place to take a Campervan this weekend

I've got a long weekend off and a loan of my parents Campervan.

I'm Glasgow based and it'll just be myself, the mrs and two dogs. Any recommendations for some cracking campsites within 2-3 hours of Glasgow?

Could take one of the ferries across to Arran. I always prefer camping at Lochranza when we go there. You'll need plenty midge repellent though, but then that's probably true of anywhere I suppose.

We are just back from a week touring Scotland in a Camper Van.

If you get the weather it's excellent!

I can thoroughly recommend Sands Camping & Caravan Park in Gairloch. Right on the coast, with fantastic views and loads of space to walk the dogs.

The wee restaurant on site is quite nice and the shower facilities are excellent.

Glad you enjoyed it. Used to go there quite a bit when I had my vw campervan.
