No. That F50 would have been in Manchester that day along with various other supercars with the SupercarDriver group promoting the Need for Speed film. A shame you didn't see the F40, Aventador or P1

288GTO is the only modern Ferrari since the Daytona that I've any real interest in.

If I had that kind of money to splash on a collection, I'd be after cars as different from each other as possible. Group B Rally cars, 60's Le Mans cars, Porsche, Macca, some tasty saloons etc etc

And you'd probably dig out some of the Ferraris when going to collect another Ferrari because it would be a great bit of fun and more enjoyable than flying down.

And if you are going to Maranello to pick up the latest super Ferrari then why not take one of all of its predecessors?

I understand that this is just part of the man's collection. But I quite understand and sympathise with what you're saying. I expect that this line-up probably has an asinine nick-name amongst collectors "the full set" or something like that. It leaves me cold.

In the art world a good art collection reflects the taste, knowledge, understanding and experience of the art collector. People strive to do more than just buy a bunch of Warhols, or Picassos, or Dead Sharks.

The sounds like bks to me, the guy likes his fezza's and has an awesome collection of them and he is using them. I certainly cant think of a more apt venue to take them all to than to pick up their latest incantation. Its also the sort of PR that ferrari love and will probably give him access to rarer more exclusive lists in the future

and i dont even really like them except the 288
