Just been told by work that I'll be there for three weeks in August. One of our teams works out there, running a security operation around two oil refineries. I'll be familiarising myself with that operation and then running it for a while.

So, anyone got experience of the place? Things in particular to watch out for? I'm aware of its reputation but would prefer to hear from people who've actually got experience of the place

Road through it on a bike trip in April. One of the best places in Eastern Europe!
V rural, little traffic and incredibly friendly and helpful locals - Don't tell anyone or they will all go there and ruin it!
