What's the Fiesta ST like on the motorway?

I've got a Fiesta 1.6 petrol Zetec S which does 95% of what I need a car to do. One thing it isn't great at is motorway cruising. It's happy at 60mph, working by 70mph and really not all that happy at 80mph. Is the ST any better? I'm thinking of getting the Focus mainly for the extra motorway driving I'll be doing, but the Fiesta would be the car of choice for most of the other driving I do. Stuck between two stools really.

If you mean the new fiesta st then its great on a motorway, has that 6th gear you can use. Great mpg for a car with 200bhp too!

If you're on about the old one, Late 30's going along at 70. Wish they had popped another gear in the box though.

I'm talking about the new one. I wonder if it will be quieter with the six gear and extra power. Not too worried about the mpg.
