Boiler in the loft.

I'm going to replace my aging boiler with a combi, but I want it moved from its current location of the kitchen to the ult room which unfortunately is the other side of the house to where the gas comes in, reason for the move is I want to replace the kitchen soon and would like the extra space.
It was suggested by one of the plumbers to install the boiler in the loft, he'd done a few installs in lofts with no problems. I'm not too sure, it would be ok for all the pipe work but my concern would be the extreme change of temperature in the loft, would this have any adverse affect, plus the servicing, how would they check the burnt gases with that probe thingy?
What are your thoughts?

Perfectly fine to put it in the loft, although for servicing you need to have a clear walkway to the boiler itself. So will need a boarded walkway of some sort if it isn't already boarded out.

On my boiler there's a wee screw in the flue just above the boiler, inside the garage, which they bung the probe into when servicing.

Ours in is the loft. No problem with servicing but it takes about two days for the hot water to start running hot after you open the tap. Worst idea I ever had!

My water pressure isn't the best, there's a noticeable drop on a running tap when another is opened. Would this affect say a shower when someone flushes the toilet?
