Hi All,

Well after many years of running old 'classics' and a test-drive of the i8 on Monday morning I've decided to sell up on my 964 C2's next spring and take the plunge on an i8.

I really didn't know what to expect but was absolutely blown away by the sheer event of the thing. Beautiful to look at, beautiful to use and really fking quick!!

Deposit is down and they're quoting delivery in 12 months. I'm still a bit undecided on colour though. Torn between Silver and Blue.

What do you reckon fellas?......

Blue for me. I don't like the blue accenting, choosing the blue paint would hide them somewhat.

That's going to be the longest 12 months of your life.

Cheers. Know what you mean. The blue accenting switches to a grey colour if you go for blue on the main even. If you know what I mean.... hehe

I'd want the black one and I'd have the blue bits resprayed I love the looks of the car but don't like the two tone schemes.

Silver with THOSE wheels in the pic above. I waited 3 years for my first Boxster (deposit put down in 94 when car was announced and took delivery in Augist 97). 12 months will fly by by comparison !!!!

All well and good but I'll bet it's still not as quick as a remapped 335d.

I'll get me own coat, thanks.

What a fantastic car, congratulations on your order! I have never wanted to own a car so much since my Dad took an E36 M3 for a weekend test drive and ended up with a C36AMG instead! Mainstream manufacturers cars nowadays (mine included) all seem a bit meh, so hats off to BMW to creating such an incredible looking, and driving, machine.

You can have black with frozen grey bits as standard. I'm just looking at the configurator.....the black one os the cheapest! All the others are extra £££

There's a blue i8 demo at Rybrook in Warwick and it's simply stunning. Fantastic looking car in that colour.
