If you were given £20000 but could only spend it on a car in the ph classifieds (no change given) what would you buy?

To make it more interesting this would then be your only car for the next 3 years!

Aimed at a bit of fun and maybe even some consumer advice!

Tuscan.

I don't care how unreliable they are, they sound like cloud9 and appear to have been designed by H.R.Giger - it is VERY high on my bucket list of cars.

Oh. Nice of them to put that important information nice and clear right at the end of the advert smile I was just quickly going through clicking on cars that looked alright for the money.

I choose this instead;

Love it but your only car for 3 years? You either have balls of steel in the winter or can walk to work lol

If you can wait a year with that 20k to spend you may get the first one, but good back up plan!

As a happy TVR owner, ONLY having a Tuscan for 3 years would not be pleasant. To be honest, only having 1 car for 3 years would be a first world nightmare for me. I'd get bored of absolutely anything if it was all I could drive for 3 feckin years.

My local garage happily lend me a car and are 50 yards from my front door - so perhaps I am cheating!

Maybe not that exact car, but E61 M5 Touring would probably be my choice. Assuming no one showed me VXR8 prices, and C63s are out of the price range.

A Cayman S or M5, in dark colours, are really the only decent cars for grownups at the ~20k price-point.
