I'd spotted the adverts for this on discovery & seeing as it's taken the same slot where Fast & loud was being shown I thought I'd give it a chance, hoping it would be as good as F&L.

I was wrong, so very very wrong.

It's awful, from the adverts/all the little indents showing lathes, grinding, welding etc I thought there would be at least some stuff around the mechanical side of things but no, what we got was 3 proper fat blokes and one slightly thinner bloke mincing about, eating lots & telling us how fat they are.

They had two cars - a Galaxie and a convertable charger R/T "tribute" both of which got wheeled in looking like a right state, we saw the fat Leiv Schriber lookalike put in a gearbox and measure a propshaft (that they got wrong & had to do again) and the slightly thinner but still quite large Ian McShane lookalike use his amazing bargaining skills to pay $25,000 for an engine.

Next thing, both cars were looking amazing, brand new paintjob & happily doing burnouts down the road.

I think I'll give next weeks episode a shot to see if it gets any better, but I won't be holding my breath!

Yeah i have watched a couple of episodes, kinda daft overall but i will watch anything car related smile.

Although i would rather more technical stuff where they show you something interesting rather than jokes and nonsense.

Tonight's episode sees them tearing apart a mint, matching numbers '71 Chevelle 454SS and dropping in a 572!

Great engine, but come on, that's absolute sacrilege. frown
