Total nightmare.

I haven't driven my Gallardo on the road and once thought, "perhaps it could do with another 400bhp+". If I tracked it or wanted to run drag strip then perhaps.

I learnt some years ago, having traded my scooter for another secondhand Vespa ET4 off the bloke whose shop it was and who had souped it up from 125cc to 180cc, never to tamper with what the factory did.
The engine blew up on the A3.
Fortunately not an expensive mistake on a scooter.
The factory make'em like they do for a reason!

That's an unbelievably amateur job, really shoddy!

I with the previous poster, car companies spend millions getting it right, how can you expect some guy in a shed to improve on it!

I really don't get why you would keep going back and back and back and still paying them doesn't make sense to me.

Also cant think why he needed a couple of turbos bolted onto a Lambo fair play to him but I think I could have done a better job than that.

Yeah, quite honestly after reading that its hard to have much sympathy with the guy. To keep throwing that kind of money at a tuner with those kind of results seems like madness.

Ive driven a few of the underground racing kits and they are amazing, attention to detail is second to none and the second you get behind the wheel you realise how much lacking in power the gallardo really is.

Shame to see such shoddy work.

Equally, the guy was way too loose with his money - putting good money after bad over and over, madness.

Some of the US and Eastern European turboed Gallardos are getting Veyron-like 60mph times around ~2.5secs. Surprised the turbo Lambo scene is not a little more popular in the UK.

This is whats happening to my build right now.

1250whp which should get below 3s 0-60 although there will be so much power that times would be measured on 40-150 as this will mean more.

The car will hit 200mph if needed and shouldn't post more than 12d above stock temps thanks to the charge cooler system.

I realy would worry about putting over double the power through the whole engine, drivetrain etc.

It must at the very least use up all the margin for durability, not for me, but each to their own.

Are you doing a UGR build ? I assume you had to send your car to them in the US ? Will have some impressive acceleration once done !

Im using underground as these are the ones to go for in this field.
I will be using motech to control but can write this software myself. The engine is being rebuilt from a high miler with new internals and the gearbox is already completed.
The chassis of the Gallardo isn't bad and will cope with the power as the suspension is being worked on for this application.
TBH, the standard setup will cope with the power, its just about how its used, 0-60 time after time will destroy it but once your going things work out well.

Where are you planning to use your 1250whp? Track, drag strip?

Just curious.

The answer is probably because I can.

I rarely red line in more than two gears on any stretch in my 670 and when we do it's usually showing someone what it will do, the roads where I live don't give the car the space to safely let it loose so god knows where you use over 1000bhp, the Americans have much more room but in this country that power seems wasted, I'm speaking having just returned from North Wales testing with a magazine and it's starting to getting harder out there to not annoy the locals.

The tuner(Dallas Performance) claim the customer is lying and rewired their work, changed their tune and is responsible. I've heard excuses but....
