Picked it up 7 weeks and 1700 miles ago and so far I'm chuffed to bits with it.
A few questions though:
A few questions though:
- Could someone please tell me what the correct ride height is front and rear (measured to the outriggers) as I occasionally suffer from rubbing on both rear arches under full compression? I think the new suspension has settled about 1-2cm lower at the rear since they were fitted.
- Is it possible to move the seats slightly from side to side? The passenger seat touches the roll cage and the squeaking can be annoying.
- Is there away of reducing the boomy exhaust at around 2000-2300RPM? If not I'll just keep driving around it.

Can't help with 1, place washers under the seat bolts (from inside the car) to tilt the seat away from the side. As for 3, you can but it would probably involve replacing the exhaust . T350 is worse than the tam as there is no boot as such to separate the cabin from the exhaustA few questions though:

Welcome to the fold.
The FAQ on here says the ground clearance is 100 mm. Seems a bit low to me. Mine's higher than that due to non standard tyres sizes, with no ill effects.
On the exhaust; mine has always boomed at similar revs - despite a number of different exhaust set ups and a recent engine rebuild. I've just got used to it.

Brilliant I'll try shimming the seat to see if that helps.Zippee said:
Lovely car!!!
With regards to the exhaust, this may sound a little odd but get a louder JP - it eliminates all the low rev boom, sounds great but doesn't really create much more in cabin noise!
I'll have to get myself to a couple of meets and see what is available then. With regards to the exhaust, this may sound a little odd but get a louder JP - it eliminates all the low rev boom, sounds great but doesn't really create much more in cabin noise!

I can see that it is shod with nearly new Goodyear Eagles. Are the rears the standard 235/40 ZR18 or something larger/wider?
My T350 has Goodyears all round on standard suspension and doesn't get close to rubbing.
The tyres are the standard size front and rear. I'll try and jack it up this weekend and raising the suspension slightly. My T350 has Goodyears all round on standard suspension and doesn't get close to rubbing.

Welcome to the Mad-House
nice one
think your T is pretty low ,not much space between Tyre to Wheel-Arch!
or did you have a dead Body in?
all the best for you and your Toy.

Thanks. I think the photo is slightly deceptive as there is around a 2 and half fingers worth of air between the arch and the tyre when the car is empty.nice one

I would suggest that there is no "ideal" ride-height?
If you haven't already done so, it sounds like you should get it corner weighted, following a geo-check. This should start with some "wedge", that is, the rear slightly higher than the front, then let the experts do their magic (it's not exactly rocket-science and with a couple of bathroom scales it can be done if you have a reasonably flat garage floor).
You may then find out how balanced the T350 actually is?
HTH's ?

Thanks Steve.
As for the suspension I've got it booked in with TopCats next week (corner weighting and geo) as it turns out I don't have anything able to lift a car this low
Clarke sell a 1.25t low entry trolly jack for about £120. You can get cheaper ones too but the Clarke one is well built and worth the extra in my opinion. Good investment for doing a bit of DIY maintenance or cleaning the back of the spiders with the wheels off if your OCD takes you that far!As for the suspension I've got it booked in with TopCats next week (corner weighting and geo) as it turns out I don't have anything able to lift a car this low

Halfords do a cracking one too Pursyluv said:
I'm sure my Clarke 2T low entry jack cost less than £60, so shop around!
When I said Clarke, I did of course mean Sealey http://www.sealey.co.uk/PLPageBuilder.asp?gotonode...

Brilliant I'll try shimming the seat to see if that helps.Bear in mind that shimming to angle the seat away from the 'cage' will tilt the seat and affect your seating/driving position slightly. My back is way better since removing some washers to tilt the seat back harder against the cage and putting a tiny bit of lube where the rub is; silicone or similar, not engine oil,.
