I have booked in for the club parking at the Classic on Saturday. On receipt of the tickets I saw that you had to be there before 10am and not able to leave until after 5pm. Fair enough as movements are not allowed on the infield during racing. However I am in area 16 which does appear to be outside the circuit, so would we be able to leave earlier?

Reason for asking is that we now have to be home earlier than originally planned.

Anyone any ideas?

What time are you looking to leave? Every year I've been there I've seen a few cars start to drift off early afternoon. Whilst there is good reason to restrict vehicle movements, I've never seen it strictly enforced. As long as you drive slowly and sensibly and stick to the main access roads within the circuit you should be fine.

As above you can normally start moving around mid afternoon and theres always cars moving around throughout the day. The rule is there to stop hordes of people moving around during the busiest parts, the odd car should be fine smile
Look forward to seeing you all there.

You can come/go when you please but arrive early as parking space is at a premium. If you need to go earlier make sure you can get out and not get blocked in.

As Paul has commented on, peak times of arrivals is anything past 9am up to about 11am, if you can maybe get in for 8:30 you will miss all the cues , as it gets rammed as you can probably imagine.

Tickets had to be purchased in advance, there are none available on the gate this year AFAIK...

Bummer [not you] been going to this for 7 years too.
Thanks anyway and hope it's good if you're going.

I think you can still buy tickets on the gate, you just have to park outside and walk in? ( I wait to be corrected!)

Worked out really well yesterday, apart from taking over an hour to get in!! eek Parking was in a good place and it was very easy getting out even we needed to. Excellent day must admit, but Silverstone is not one of my favourite viewing circuits must admit.
