Think Sky in general is locked down to MAC on the router, can clone but IME it starts causing problems after about 15 mins and I didnt get to the bottom of why

Check out skyuser.co.uk, plenty of guides on there for using third party routers, some easy, some not so easy!

What the poster above said check out sky user. The short of it is you need to extract your username and password from the sky router/mac code then basically set up the other router with those details.

Got an Asus Dark Knight on ours for the wireless features, need modified firmware to work with Sky but plenty of guides online. I've not used OpenVPN on it but it is available on this device.

As said above you need to get the Sky client ID to let DHCP work, but easy enough to do if you're halfway technical. Didn't need any MAC configuration here.

Thanks
I am working on something. I am aware of these "calculator" things.
The fact some of you HAVE done it is reassuring
