With tales of drunken debauchery, filthy women, 3 somes, coke, hookers etc etc.

I Lied.

Even though it's (too early to tell the sex yet) only being pointed at on a screen, it seem to have the proper Lounge attitude of 'whatthefookareyoupointingat?'

I like.

Groovy bugger!

Yes,yes, 'Legal Reason' apparently. That can never quite be explained when asking what Legal reasons?

I then laughed as I was told 'you must delete the pictures' from your 'phone.

What the fk?! How long have they been saying that? I would have taken loads deliberately in that case and then challenged them to interfere with my personal property.

What a scam.

Ha ha that made me chuckle as I did get one for my son - 4D is amazingly realistic but kind of spoils it as it is a preview. Wouldn't do it for my next kid.

Haha, surely it's your baby, you should be able to take photos! Congratulations btw.

This is true... though everyone coughs up anyway don't they? (At least for their first!) A nice souvenir and better to show folks than a blurry indecipherable phone pic! wink

Congrats!

What a pleasant partner of the patient you'd be then.

For goodness sake - why does everyone have a 'I'm the most important person in the world' attitude these days. If a hospital who is scanning the mother of your child asks you to not photograph the scanner, just oblige. If you're too tight to pay for a couple of prints, maybe fatherhood's not for you.

I honestly despair of the opinions on here by other men. I can imagine seeing people like you in the prenatal ward, kicking off and it makes me just want to do everything privately.

Edited: You're a dentist for chrissakes!! I assumed you were a driveway layer or something.

Yeah I bet the NHS make thousands by selling a printout of the foetus for £3 after just scanning you, for free, for 20 minutes by a trained technician on cutting edge equipment.

That you've paid for by your contributions to the government. Hell, they should let you have a go yourself if you ask.

Yes they should - in fact, should my wife and I have another child then I'll demand this very thing.

DT: I demand a go
Nurse: Er, why?
DT: Taxes! I pay them!
Nurse: Right. Only you've not been trained and this is very expensive and we'll probably need it for the next pregnant woman.
DT: I pay your wages!
Nurse: >sigh<
Nurse: Right, if you look closely you can see the spine and there's the head!
DT: I'm wise to you, I'm not paying five pounds
DT: >Snatches out phone and takes pictures<
Nurse: Sir, I'm sorry but you can't do that
DT: How dare you! There's no way I'm willing to pay five pounds for seeing the truly awe inspiring site of my unborn child, a miracle of science that we in the West are privileged enough to enjoy. FIVE POUNDS!!
Nurse: Sir, please, try to calm down
Wife: >cry<

Listen pal, you know how much st dentists get for charging over the odds for everything? Well I'm not one of them. You want to take a photo of a radiograph I've taken in your mouth go ahead. In fact I regularly email radiographs to patients-for free. Take all the pictures you want.

I don't earn my living charging for photos and neither does the NHS.

Ever heard of the principle of a matter? I don't care if it's £5 or 1p, it is just bad will and poor taste frankly. If you must know my wife gave birth at the American Hospital in Paris and that cost a pretty penny but was worth every one so calling me "tight" is a bit desperate.

In fact you can take all your abusive ad hominum attacks and photograph yourself sticking them up your a@#e. It is very poor form as a way of debating.

Mr Thrust that was classic thumbup

Look, your 'I would have taken loads deliberately in that case and then challenged them to interfere with my personal property' puts across the impression of a certain type - if you think it's 'abusive ad hominum[sic]' then perhaps consider how you sound.

Let's say you weren't as charitable in your practise and didn't allow photographs - how would you view someone who knew this but deliberately took loads and then challenged your nurse about it? Would you see them as a bit unpleasant do you think?
