Drawing for S3 fuel Tank
Discussion
A useful read... and a bit more searching will probably find more
I have a spare tank here, you're welcome to come and take all the measurements and photo's you like.

I think Phillpot was also thinking of having one made in ss
Even at "mates rates" it was going to cost big bucks and that was just a budget price to make the main rectangular box!Edited by phillpot on Friday 25th July 19:46

Hi Phillpot, Edited by phillpot on Friday 25th July 19:46
If no one already has a drawing for one then yes I'd like to borrow the tank to measure up, I work for a large engineering company who regularly have stainless tanks made so was going to try our suppliers first. The only trouble is I'm away on holiday for 2 weeks from Monday then working in oz for 11 weeks so won't be able to do anything until I get back

Are tanks allowed to be in aluminium?

Hi.
I will be making an aluminium tank for a customer, to suit the s3 model. It should be completed within a month.
This will be a straight swap for the standard tank, and will have the same fittings as per the original tank, including the locking ring type sender unit mount etc.
I would happily compare my tanks to any others on the market.
Thanks.
Andy.
