Hi all

I have had to change my otter switch, and thought I would change the coolant while I was at it.

I pulled the bottom radiator hose off and opened the expansion and reservoir caps. I have caught roughly 4l and a fair bit went on the floor I must confess. Even so, it seems a bit too little given the 10l capacity.

Is there any other thing I should do to release coolant, or is that it?

Thanks

put the heater to "hot" and see if that lets air in and water out.

Also, there's a coolant sensor in the head, under the throttle intakes - if you can get that out, it'll let air in the top of the block and let water out of the bottom.

The heater is on hot - I'll check the sensor when it stops raining...!

Thanks for the input

I have found both for draining and for filling that disconnecting the hose from the heater valve on the engine side hose helps a lot.
