It all started so well. Passed it's mot after a couple of bulbs replacing and the headlights permanently up ( very lazy ns motor ), looks daft but mot man does not care , so all in all after being sat for a few months I thought it did itself proud.

And then....

Myself and the son are off to the shops , he is strapped in nicely and then the freaking seatbelt thingy shears off in my hand. Seems to have rusted through, odd but hey. So have to change those , assume there is a bracket on the transmission tunnel but not a big problem.

Then in the evening after am uneventful drive back from St Pauls EC1 to SE london in the sunshine I stopped off to talk to a neighbour. As we are chatting the contents of the cooling system are being bled onto the floor ( split hose to the heater matrix ).

Then I limp the last 100 yards to my house a local yoof remarks 'st car mate'

Not a good day.

Hi Daryl..Whats actually broken..The seat belt eyelet?...Apparently that job is a right pain in the wotsit...I do have a brand new set of seat belts if you get stuck..Although i will have to retrieve them from Essex..I might also have a piece of 13mm ID silicone hose that will sort the matrix hose out...Let me know...Oh and take no notice of the little shytes they haven't got a clue...Ziga

Thanks Zig , I have ordered 1/2inch piping which should sort out the heater matrix , bit of acrobatics in the passenger footwell I wager but should be easy enough , something to keep me off the beers over the weekend. As for the seatbelt ,well it's the female side so to speak , it just sheared off about 3 inches up , so the eyelet thing is still connected. Does look an awkward thing to get at but will take a look when I am upside down doing the heater hose. Prob best to get a set and replace the driver side ( ie my side ) as I wouldnt want to trust it in a prang.

Are you guys still meeting in Greenwich on a sundays morning? I do fancy having a look at the delilah-replacement. Looks a peach from the photos.
