First off a bit of background information, about 2 months ago I said on here id secured an apprenticeship, in the end I didn't go for it because the money wasn't enough to live on, fast forward to now...

I see the job has upped the wage and was interested again as it was the only thing stopping me last time, contact the woman and she tells me that they still want me there and to go and talk Tuesday morning.

Now, today I've just had an apprenticeship interview with BMW and it went really really well, I am hearing back from them early next week and to be honest id love the job.

About half hour ago I got a phone call for proper position (not an apprenticeship) sales role for a pretty new company, the weekly wage is more than what id get from the apprenticeships combined and I have an interview with them Monday afternoon.

So, what should I do with the first apprenticeship which to be honest I've already messed around a bit? Should I email them about other interviews etc because I know if I go in there Tuesday it'll be talk about start dates and contracts etc? Or should I just leave it because I haven't actually received job offers or anything but the other two are my priority and I want to hear back from them before making a decision? Should I try and change the appointment with them from Tuesday and make it a week later?

Any advice would be much appreciated.

What is more important to you - better money now or learning a skill/trade that could see you through the rest of your working life?

I know where your going with this but the apprenticeship would only be teaching me what the job does, I won't be learning a trade just experience in sales (which the actual job is). Or marketing (BMW), I just don't wanna mess the guy around from before but at the same time I don't want to go there till I know what's happening with the others. Options?

Is it a REAL apprenticeship i.e. is there linked study, course and exams and recognised qualifications to be had at the end of three or so years?

If not, it isn't an "Apprenticeship" in the true definition of the meaning

Yes there is, although I have an extended level 3 diploma in business and marketing already so the qualification side of it doesn't really add much for me.

That's what I was trying to get at. If the qualification is not that much of a lure - then maybe going for the better pay option now is best.

Apprenticehips are great - but only if there is a useful and valuable qualification at the end of it.

I'd stick with the BMW role. It's very difficult (in my experience) to enter into a large company having worked outside of the environment.

An apprenticeship at BMW should set you up for the future and may lead to a job at BMW if that is what you want.

Of course, I am assuming that you want to work for BMW.
