Morning/Afternoon/Evening all,

New to the forum, to keep it short, I'm looking to get my first TVR and have settled on a Chimaera. Budget of £5-8k, not shy about putting some work into it. Quite content with the 4.0L, preferably Starmist Blue with beige interior.

Heading to the Herts&Beds TVRCC gathering tomorrow to speak to the experts. Have read several guides and spent the last few weeks trawling through the forums.

If anyone has spotted any potential options around please let me know, I'm based in Hertford. Keen to join the club!

Welcome to the Madhouse ... The Club is a good place to start ... Be careful a cheap car can end up costing you a lot of money .... In fact so can an expensive one ... So ignore my advice .

That first car in the Autotrader links has had some work done. Headlamps have been replaced, as has the dashboard, and the rear brake discs are drilled. May be worth a look, that dealer has lots of different models and may be unfamiliar with TVRs. Check the chassis if you can!

Dealer has cut and paste the spec though; sunroof? Height-adjustable seat?

My advice do not buy on your own, you need someone with you with lots of TVR experience.
