You've got to be careful with raw onion in salad as it can leave a horrible aftertaste.

Roasted red onion in a salad with some duck fat croutons and streaky lardons takes it to another dimension.
But after a serving of lardons, do you feel invigorated to have a spirited drive in your Veyron Supersport?
Not really.

However, I have many leather-bound books and my apartment smells of rich mahogany, if that's of any help?

Always have red onions in a salad, goes particularly well in a Greek Feta salad with olives cucumber and tomato.

Also makes a Potato salad.

thinly sliced with most of our salads. I'm a bit guilty of being a fan. Have been known to put it in BBQ Burgers..
