DMS and 2009 Q7 4.2 TDi
Discussion
Hi all. I have a 2009 Q7 4.2 TDi. It's pretty quick but after a few years of use I'm thinking if getting DMS to upgrade it via a remap. The claimed gains are huge: +65 Bhp/+95 lb/ft.
They offer a mobile service ie just come to your place and upload it.
Does anyone have any views on:
1. DMS (generally and Q7 specific)?
2. Whether the Q7 4.2 TDi takes well to being remapped?
Thanks all

I used DMS when I had my E46 330D, they came out to me & uploaded the new map. The wrong map.
I then had to drive approx 1hr each way to meet up to get the corrct map uploaded.
It made a big difference in performance, economy improved fractionally.
A few thousand miles later at 30k miles it ate it's turbo, no idea if it was related or not.

Probably - suggests they've either wound the boost up to the point the turbo is over-speeding or disabled something in the ECU that should act as a safety limit on the map, basically amounting to the same thing.Adrian E said:
