Hi everyone

Can anyone recommend a decent gaming PC which can handle games such as fear / half life 2 / cod etc for under 400 quid ? Windows based would be ideal .

Thanks for any info.

Could try something like that. It starts at 200 quid, but you can spec up the CPU etc. Should easily play those older titles.

No, unfortunately. Call of Duty kills that comprehensively unless you're happy with low-end settings.

Soon as you put any level of graphics card in there (anything that'll run 1080p Call of Duty at Medium-High will be £150 of GPU on it's own!) you'll murder that budget.

Aim around £600 and your options start to increase, but £400 is going to be incredibly prohibitive I'm afraid.

Windows is pretty much your only choice to play games, although it is getting better if you use a Mac or want to run SteamOS.

You'll struggle for under £400 unless you go 2nd hand.

PIck up the i3 desktop or i5 desktop (will break the budget a bit) from here dell outlet
Then spend £100 on either a NVidia 750Ti or AMD R9 270 (try pixmania, dabs or amazon - shop around). And you have a perfectly able gaming pc (assuming you have a monitor or HD TV to connect it to)
