these threads always make me want to ask what exact products were used... but the truth is that i would not come anywhere near your result because it's all skill and hard work. my hat goes off to you.
To be fair it's really not that hard, just taking time in the prep and not rushing things. All done with stuff from halfords.Evo said:

Can I ask, what products did you use to clean your arches and getting them looking so good and the process and products for your calipers, going to be doing both in the next couple of weeks?AMG01 said:

You refurbished your wheels yourself??
Wow. Seriously impressive work on display here.
Thank you, they are far from perfect but I had to do them pretty quick. The old BBS RA's I refurbed I spent 70 hours in total removing every single nick and mark but they will do for now and gave me a chance to see how I like the dark grey finish. Wow. Seriously impressive work on display here.
I think next time I'd still paint the colour on myself but get them professionally lacquer as you can never get it on as good as a body shop or just get them to paint the whole lot. The colour is Ford Graphite and it gets the colour spot on, either mid grey or very dark depending on the light.

Great job on the interior! And the wheels! Looking very nice now. Don't forget to grease your door hinges if you've cleaned the grase from the factory off (the yellow looking stuff) very impressed with your work ?
Did notice the passenger one making a little noise lol Cracking work.
BTW - Audi TT on wheeler dealers tonight, you can sit back and enjoy them doing the bare minimum and giving the outside a quick mop whilst not doing any of the cleaning/painting you have done which in my opinion adds real value!

That's the stuff of nightmares, I dread to think how many hours I've spent ruining my finger tips trying to sand in between BBS spokes, RAs/RMs/RZs/RJs are all a pain but it's is the 13 inch G40 BBS which appear to have the smallest most intricate design which tests your patience/commitment levels very wellseany87 said:

Seconded, I like reading this thread. Especially as the OH is considering a MK1 TT for her next car.Gassing Station | Readers' Cars | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
