After the great success on Sunday Ed I doubt that you would have any problems getting 500 willing participants in 2015 smile

As a starter, how about a logo....

I dont think there are any major Aston Martin model anniversaries next year (sure someone will be along soon to correct me on this, but its a year too early for the Db6 and 65th anniversary of a Le Mans win would be a weak justification for an AM track parade).

And I'm guessing looking at the calendar that the Silverstone Classic will be 25th/26th July.

So if we could just get the 200 db7s that went to Silverstone to come to Ed-2015, then we could be in with a shout at a record...

It says on Wiki that DB6 launch was 1965? After this years success I'm sure any event will be well supported.

10 years of the V8V
21 years of the DB7
50 years of the DB6
60 years of the DB2/4 mk II
65 years of the DB2

and

100 years since the Coal Scuttle, the first Aston Martin.

I knew it biggrin

For some reason I always thought of the DB6 as being 1966 (ie after the DB5 63-65). I keep forgetting that AM works to a September model year...

Still the main thing is that the DB7s might be available for Ed-Fest 2015(and there are both a lot of those, 200 at Silverstone last weekend, and the owners seem to be enthusiastic about attending events)

50 years on from the sale of the final previous Lagonda Rapide. Could try to get a few to come? Seeing as how welcome we with "classics" were made at Burghley

Astonfest sounds too German, AMFest sounds a bit more catchy IMO, although it is not as obvious.

I am not capable of doing it, but howzabout having AMFest in the wings of the Aston Martin logo? This would surely make it recognizable to all Pistonheads who see it?

Agree with you on the AMFest.
Deliberately, steered away from the Aston Martin logo in any way - just in case AM decided to become 'arsey' about it (I.e non-sanctioned event etc, etc).

If some fool………….nuts goes for it and takes it on………………...rolleyes

The AMF sounds catchy does it not,but maybe not descriptive enough.

But there again it did the Bike world no harm with there BMF.

All speculation until you catch the fool to run it…………..thumbup

In my humble opinion, Aston Martin would be a bit foolish not to back Burghley 2, given the number of people coming away thinking "hmm, maybe I should swap my X in for a new Y"
