Evening all,

Any advice on the above? its leaking from the block side, it would seem. This is a new one for me so...

How to remove (is it just a case of unscrewing - should I drain oil first etc..)

How to replace (any methods - tape, grease etc)

Any special tools or anything else that I should be aware?

Many thanks in advance!

On the basis it's your Vixen and a 1600....

Don't think you need any special tools...
Should be OK to remove when engine stopped, you might get a few drops of oil, but it should not be a lot.

Have you checked it's tight ?
Is thread leaking ?

Threads can leak, in which case some standard plumbers PTFE thread sealing tape should fix it - just wrap around thread and put it back.

If it's from the sender itself, then the ones I've seen are all crimped from factory and probably not repairable, although if it's just a small leak around the crimp, good old silicon bathroom sealer is pretty good for that kind of sealing.....just make sure metal is cleaned up for silicon to bond to.
