I'm needing to replace our Panasonic A-309 phone system with something new. We have 2 lines on the one number and just 4 handsets. Can anyone suggest the best place to look for something that could be installed by myself fairly easily.I'm not that confident with wiring and there seems to be a lot of wires and boxes on the office wall. Help please.

Why are you replacing? Broken or need more features? That is a very simply system & TBH you could get away with feature lines. The PBX may still be available s/h refurbed.

Once you factor your time & swearing into it, you might be better getting someone in to sort it if you're not a wirehead smile

I recommend Christine at CMC Synergy. They started doing just mobiles but now do the full range, big & small.

Thanks for the very quick replies. I'll look into the options above. We don't need any extra features but the system seems to be having difficulty when we try to get a line and dial out, sometimes takes 2-3 attempts so I assume the "box" is on it's way out. Fair point about paying someone to remove all the old system and install the new one the wires do look a little daunting.

This is what we do - day in day out - if you want to give me a call numbers on the website in my profile - will cost you a couple of hundred with all the bits you need and no contracts or line agreements.

You don't need a rewire if what's there is OK, especially if you go for another analogue Panasonic system. The newer system use modular plugs for the lines (CO & EXT), last time I did a swap out like yours it took no longer than an hour. Programming them is really easy too.
