Capri Engine Bay Width

I need a favour from a Capri owner;

Can you accurately measure the inside distance between the 'rails' in the engine bay.

Considering a radical engine swap, but need to find a classic car that it will fit in!

Are you wanting the measurement between the inner wings bud? Any other places? Got my mkIII sitting in the garage,can have quick measure tomorrow when I'll be able to see what I'm doing

Ok dude,got a measurement of approx 34in between the inner front wings running between the front strut top mounts,kinda difficult for a dead accurate measurement because of the plenum sitting in the way

Having a look under the car reckon an accurate measurement between the lower rails supporting the engine x-member comes out at 28in.
