Viva Engine Bay Dimension

I need a favour from a Viva/ Firenza owner;

Can you accurately measure the inside distance between the 'rails' in the engine bay.

Considering a radical engine swap, but need to find a classic car that it will fit in!

Sorry, I only just saw this. These aren't measured figures, they're from the HC body repair manual:

Inner faces of longitudinal members at forward end (i.e. chassis rails in engine bay): 28.40in

Same at front suspension lower mounts: 28.40in

Let me know if you need any more details, that's about all the manual says but I am working on a bare shell at the moment so might be able to measure more. I don't get in the VX forum often so maybe PM me.
