Can anyone recommend as set of flat road pedals from the Halfords website upto £35. I picked up my Boardman Hybrid Comp yesterday. They never told me it didn't come with pedals so after a little complaining the manager called and offered me £35 to spend.

I'm not into these clip type so a decent set of flats are fine. I like the look of Shimano SPDs but i'm guessing these only work with cycle shoes.

Shimano do a pedal which is plain one side and spd the other, that may be the best option for you.

I've been looking at getting that bike via C2W.

Are you sure it doesn't come with pedals, they are listed on the Boardman website and on the Halfords website as below..

When I looked for the bike, I couldn't see any pedals listed on the spec, and the image shows the bike without pedals, too. But £35 seems a pretty good deal, to be fair. Those Wellgo pedals are a £12 to £14 item at most - OP could buy them and spend the change on something else, or put the whole £35 towards a decent set of pedals that'll be better all round than the Wellgos.

ETA: http://www.tesco.com/direct/wellgo-916-lu954-atb-a... @ £10.00 from Tesco online.
