Just some minor points to agree with them and I'll post the details in the next day, or so.

It's a gorgeous venue, and I've managed to negotiate a discount. However, it's a little more expensive than the Metropole.

We will have our own parking area, and the hotel has it's own pool and spa if anyone wants to stay in the hotel on the saturday rather than come on the run.

Just back from my holidays and a decent internet connection..

BigScotty - whereabouts are you planning the hoon (other than Scotland)? I need to work out the logistics of actually getting there and if its viable for me. I think Glasgow is 4 hours+ on a Friday night travelling up the M6 - realistically how far from there? Thanks

There's been some discussion on and offline about breaking up the journey to Pitlochry. It's a fairly long haul for some, particularly if the motorways misbehave, and none of us want to be travel weary on the day of Scott's excellent looking hoon.

So, to make for a more relaxed day on the Friday I've been looking at suitable hotels around the Lake District for Thursday 16th. If there are enough of us it may well be possible to strike a deal for bed, breakfast and an evening meal and I'm happy to do the honours and post up a couple of options. I'd be looking for the usual levels of comfort, food and secure parking of course.
