I'll be in Morzine then. Had seen the dates after the last meet but trip was already booked.

Ahh Morzine.. just down the road from Avoriaz. Drove there about 9 years ago for a couple of days skiing.

Have a good trip.

Hi Guys..

Just a quicky, looking forward to driving the wedge upto the Ace Cafe next Wed, looking at Google maps.. what do you think is the easiest / quickest route from Bristol ?? it looks like right to the end of M4 and then north on the A406, North Circular Rd ??

Anyone got a better idea ? as not sure on traffic etc.. but thinking of leaving Bristol about 2.30pm to try and avoid afternoon rush hour.. and also get a space within the cafe grounds..

Thanks.
Dom

Depends on time. M25, M/A40 would be quicker, but M25 is terrible after 4.30

If you stay on the M4 til J2 you might fry your wedge, traffic can get pretty bad at that point.

M4, off at Hayes (J3), A4, A406, usually slightly better.

What time are you looking at heading down there? If I get my new fan on this sunday, we could go in convoy as I live just off the A4 between J2 and 3

EDIT: Just realised you said you're going to leave at 2.30, M4, A406 should be fine. We probably can't go in convoy though!

Thanks for the heads up.. will have to confirm approx time for london arrival - need to speak to my matey first as he is joining me on trip.

Another Q. When visiting london most of the time I go south on M25 from M4 but at that m4/m25 junction, they have signs for low emission zones etc.. whats the score with that, do you have to pre pay like the congestion charge ??

dont think the wedge would be classed as a low emmission vehicle hehe

EDIT - ahh, just seen your edit.. ok thanks for info. hopefully see you there.

Isn't the LEZ only for diesel vehicles?

Not a bad idea mate, Especially if Mr 10 Wedges goes...It should be 1 x CPO only..(Car per owner)....Just out of common decency for fellow enthusiasts.... smile

Ooohhh. Mark you naughty boy. Throwing a few more logs on the fire! It could be argued that enthusiasts need motivating and what better way than to see a historic collection of Wedges biggrin

Tony...Its a CAFE not a field of mushrooms...(wobble)...Besides I've seen all them old bangers before so it would be nice to have room for something i haven't seen...Anyway enough logs were burnt on my fire with no regard to my feelings so stuff it....Lifes too short...Are you going?....Cheers...Ziga

Well you see sir its a metaphor ..."Enough logs"...i:e The felling must stop before we run out of wood....(Or oxygen)..."Burnt on my fire"...i:e My fire is ash and will not burn anymore....So it basically means "Enough is enough, Leaf me alone"...Simples.... smile

Looks like i will be missing out on the ACE...Im still waiting for my insurance company to okay the payment to Glassman for my windscreen as their glass companies were unable to find the glass...Its been three weeks now and its a bloody joke!...I spoke to Paul this morning and hopefully if the insurance company pulls their finger out of their backsides then i will get it done Saturday...If not then I'm going to miss the Dunsfold "Wings and Wheels" event and i will be most annoyed!....Ziga
